Pricing breakdown

DialPhone

  • Core ($24/user/mo, annual): unlimited US/Canada calling, SMS, HD video meetings up to 200 participants, AI live captions and transcription
  • Advanced ($34, annual): adds AI SMS drafting, Proactive Workflow Automation, integrations and a HIPAA BAA
  • Ultra ($54, annual): adds advanced analytics
  • Contact Center (separate CCaaS plans from $65/agent/mo): omnichannel routing, AI quality management, workforce management
  • Smart Virtual Concierge (AI Receptionist): separate $59/month add-on, or $69/month in the AI Pro Bundle

All plans are billed annually and include a 14-day free trial with no card required. A HIPAA Business Associate Agreement is available on Advanced and higher. The AI Receptionist is a separate add-on, not part of Core, Advanced or Ultra.

Sipgate

sipgate publishes three business plans on its UK site: business S at £12.95, business L at £17.95 and business XL at £22.95 per user per month. Every plan carries a two-user minimum and two devices per user, with additional devices at £4.95 a month each. sipgate publishes a 30-day free trial, number porting and monthly cancellation.

The tiers gate features rather than volume. business S covers the core: over 150 features, the sipgate app, event list, visual and time-based routing, custom caller ID, user management and call groups. business L adds call queuing, IVR, busy lamps and a UK call package. business XL adds an EU call package. A separate enterprise tier is quoted in euros.

The decisive fact is geographic, not financial. sipgate sells in the United Kingdom and Germany. It is not a US or Canadian carrier and does not provide +1 numbering, so for a North American buyer this is not a substitutable product regardless of price. For a UK or German buyer, sipgate’s £12.95 entry tier is below DialPhone’s $24 at current rates.

We previously stated that sipgate’s entry plan limits inbound calling to eight hours a day per number, and priced the entry tier at €8.95. Neither figure appears on sipgate’s current pricing page and both have been removed.

The figure above counts subscription seats only, at Core annual pricing: 25 x $24 x 36 = $21,600. It excludes taxes and telecom fees, usage, hardware and add-ons such as the AI Receptionist. Model your own configuration with the VoIP TCO calculator.

Feature parity

Where sipgate is the better fit

For a UK or German team, sipgate publishes lower prices than DialPhone at current exchange rates, from £12.95 per user per month, with European data residency under an EU-headquartered provider. Monthly cancellation, a 30-day free trial and number porting are all published on the pricing page, and business S already includes over 150 features, visual and time-based routing, custom caller ID and call groups.

sipgate’s limitation

It sells only in the United Kingdom and Germany. There is no US or Canadian numbering, so for a North American buyer it is not an option at any price. Its plans also carry a two-user minimum and cap devices at two per user, with extras charged at £4.95 a month.

Where DialPhone is the better fit

DialPhone sells US and Canada numbering with unlimited domestic calling in the base plan, and adds video meetings for up to 200 participants and a contact-center product that sipgate does not offer.

DialPhone’s limitation

DialPhone has no European numbering equivalent to sipgate’s home market, was founded in 2024 against sipgate’s 2004, and prices its entry tier above sipgate’s at current rates.

What’s NOT in the comparison

Some features that don’t differ meaningfully between the two for SMB use cases:

  • Mobile apps (both have iOS/Android)
  • Standard VoIP features (call forwarding, voicemail, hold music)
  • Number porting (both support; timelines depend on the losing carrier, number type and documentation)

If a comparison post tells you “DialPhone has voicemail and Sipgate has voicemail”, yes, every vendor does. The differences that matter are above.

How we built this comparison

Competitor pricing, plan names and feature availability are taken from the vendor’s own current pricing, product, security and legal pages. Every figure used is listed with its source, publisher and check date in the Sources section of this page. Where a vendor does not publish a figure, this page says so rather than estimating one.

DialPhone figures come from the DialPhone pricing page and the Terms of Service. If you find a discrepancy, tell us and we will correct it.

Verdict

There is no automatic winner here. DialPhone fits teams that want business phone and contact center from one vendor with published per-seat pricing and an AI receptionist available as a paid add-on. Sipgate fits teams that match its own strengths (European SMB VoIP). Price both at your real seat count against each vendor’s current pricing page before deciding.

The honest test: run both through the TCO calculator at your actual seat count + use case. Whichever lands lower for your spec is the right answer.

DialPhone vs Sipgate: Which Business Phone System Is Better? FAQ

Is DialPhone or sipgate cheaper?

For most SMB use cases under 50 seats compare published list prices at your real seat count. The right comparison is 36-month total cost of ownership at your real seat count, not headline starting price. Re-verify both vendors' current pricing pages before committing.

What's the biggest difference between DialPhone and sipgate?

DialPhone sells its AI receptionist (Smart Virtual Concierge) as a $59 per month add-on, or $69 per month in the AI Pro Bundle. It is not part of Core, Advanced or Ultra. Check whether sipgate bundles an equivalent capability or prices it separately, then compare the combined monthly cost rather than the headline plan price.

Can I migrate my numbers from sipgate to DialPhone?

Yes. Number porting is included on DialPhone plans. Number-porting timelines depend on the losing carrier, number type and documentation. DialPhone provides porting assistance; confirm the expected timeline for your numbers during onboarding. The porting paperwork is a Letter of Authorization plus a recent bill from sipgate. For teams of 25+ seats, white-glove migration includes call-flow recreation and parallel cutover.

Which is better for contact center workloads?

It depends on team size. DialPhone publishes contact-center pricing at every tier (Contact Center plan, from $65/agent/month) with sentiment, routing, and workforce management. sipgate is sometimes a stronger fit for large-enterprise call-center deployments with custom integrations. For SMB and mid-market, DialPhone's unified UCaaS+CCaaS stack reduces tool sprawl.

Is DialPhone HIPAA compliant for healthcare workflows?

DialPhone offers a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement on Advanced and higher plans at no surcharge. A BAA is a contract, not a certification. For SOC 2 report type and service scope, PCI DSS assessed scope, and ISO 27001 certificate and scope, contact DialPhone for the current documentation. Re-verify sipgate's current compliance posture before committing for healthcare or regulated workloads.
